RECENT PAINTINGS
My paintings are inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s waterfalls, night water photos, my direct experiences with rapids, spills, sluices, waterfalls, overflow from gutters and downspouts. I study Japanese mended textiles, paper remnants and degraded waste, especially that found near and in waterways. Recent paintings are site-specific, expansive, or conversely quite small, intimate in scale. Paintings may be hung against a wall or suspended as a curtain, double-sided. Small collages can be held. I think in multiples, splits, episodically. Through water/landscape numerations, I imagine a "though" and "perhaps" conversation with with color, materials, and specific watery places.
2025 - のれん暖簾 - Noren (Curtain) - Remnant collages - small working images that may result in larger work. No image is bigger than cupped hands. Most will fit in the palm of one hand. Recycled, found, salvaged papers from Japan, Europe, and North America, color as paint or ink.

のれん暖簾 - Noren(Cortina) - Colagens de restos - pequenas imagens de trabalho que podem resultar em obras maiores. Nenhuma imagem é maior do que as mãos em concha. A maioria cabe na palma de uma mão. Papéis reciclados, encontrados e recuperados da Ásia, Europa e América, coloridos com tinta ou tinta.

RECENT PAINTINGS
Paintings, inspired by artist Rina Yoon and Eadweard Muybridge’s waterfalls, night water, Japanese mended textiles, and spiritual numbers. Other recent paintings are of small rapids, waterfalls, and overflow from gutters and downspouts, often intimate in scale. My images are multiple, split, or paneled gestures, segments of a whole, episodic. I think and feel through the real site and imagined water/landscape numeration, an over and again, a "though" and "perhaps" conversation with specific watery places. New work soon.
